Chelsea in Bloom 2026: The Insider Guide

Chelsea in Bloom 2026 transforms Chelsea into a floral galaxy of dragons, UFOs and zodiac constellations. From Monday 18th to Sunday 24th May 2026, more than 140 shops, hotels and restaurants across Sloane Street and beyond will unveil spectacular ‘Out of This World’ displays.

12 May 2026

From Monday 18th to Sunday 24th May, Chelsea in Bloom 2026 — London’s largest free-to-attend flower festival — returns with an ‘Out of This World’ theme, transforming Sloane Street, Pavilion Road and the wider Chelsea neighbourhood into a cosmic trail of dragons, UFOs, zodiac constellations and floral moonscapes.

More than 140 businesses will take part across the neighbourhood, with displays from brands including Jessica McCormack, Smythson and The Cadogan, A Belmond Hotel, competing for Gold, Silver, Bronze and Merit awards, alongside coveted titles including Best Floral Display and the public-voted People’s Champion.

Chelsea already buzzes with the unique glamour of a Wes Anderson garden party during Flower Show week. Dior raffia brushes past gardening linen. Someone emerges from Pavilion Road carrying hydrangeas large enough to alter their centre of gravity. Enormous bouquets of peonies are manoeuvred into the back of taxis with the concentration of a Formula One pit crew.

Lunch stretches into cocktails, cocktails into floral detours, and entirely rational adults become deeply emotionally invested in topiary. Frankly, introducing a giant Pegasus and a hovering UFO into the neighbourhood feels less like escalation, more like logical progression.

Alongside the participating boutiques, restaurants and hotels, Cadogan — in collaboration with the RHS — has commissioned six large-scale floral art installations across Chelsea, including a dreamlike zodiac constellation in Sloane Square, a UFO hovering above Pavilion Road, a lunar landscape in Duke of York Square and towering mythical creatures on Sloane Street itself. Complimentary rickshaw rides and walking tours will once again run throughout the week from the Chelsea in Bloom Information Point in Sloane Square.

During the week, expect exclusive flower-inspired menus and cocktails, complimentary posies, engaging workshops, and lots of other exciting happenings in the neighbourhood. Further details will be available at chelseainbloom.co.uk, where you can stay up to date with all of the exciting floral goings-on.

Until then, below are a few of the unmissable highlights during Chelsea in Bloom 2026…

Drink & Dine

Ottolenghi

The one-week flower and citrus menu at the Chelsea deli on Pavilion Road runs the full length of delicious: potato rösti with lavender bacon jam, lemon poppy choux, and Botivo orange slushies spiked with tequila for drinking in the sunshine.

Beaverbrook Town House

At Sir Frank’s Bar, the hotel’s display has been translated into a limited edition cocktail called the Ryū (Japanese for dragon). It’s a gin-based concoction with watermelon shrub, lime juice, agave, yuzu, red wine reduction, garnished with flambeed dragon fruit. And we defy you to resist the  indulgent exclusive dessert from the Fuji Grill: a rose-infused vanilla parfait, served with berries, raspberry sorbet and macadamia nut brittle.

Ice Cream Union

Two celestial scoops for Chelsea in Bloom inspired by classic mythology: Ambrosia, a wildflower honey ice cream with ricotta and lemon, and Elysium, a cooling sorbet of pomegranate, lemon and fresh mint. The gods, it turns out, had excellent taste.

Jumeirah Carlton Tower

The Astrolabe Discovery Stay puts telescopes on private balconies for skyline views by day and stargazing after dark. Meanwhile, down on Earth, a Laurent-Perrier Champagne van waits beside the hotel’s floral installation at the entrance — an elegant way to begin, or end, your day.

Azzurra

Neptune’s Garden arrives in cocktail form: a limited-edition collection created with Everleaf non-alcoholic spirit, each drink balancing botanical, citrus and coastal notes. The perfect companion to the floral displays — refreshing, aromatic, and best sipped slowly.
