11 September 2024

Getting my kids ready to go back to school in September has become a meaningful ritual to me and the children. Sure, it can get a bit emotional and rushed, but I like to head to Sloane Street, where it becomes a seamless, stylish experience and a treasured memory.

From picking out beautiful winter essentials to finding the perfect school shoes and stationery, every stop feels like a little adventure.

For me, it’s all about creating memories and making sure they start the school year feeling confident and prepared. The excitement of fresh supplies adds to the fun and we always make time for a sweet treat along the way.

Here’s how I get ready for the new school year in Chelsea:

Bonpoint for winter coats
I love going to Bonpoint for their beautiful selection of Winter coats and dresses for my daughter. The quality is next to none, and the design is just stunning. I love Bonpoint on my boys, but the prints for girls are just particularly exquisite.

Trotters for school shoes and a haircut
We always love a trip to Trotters to measure and choose new school shoes – the service and quality are always perfection. It is always useful as well to get a back-to-school haircut in store too—just remember to prebook.

Ice Cream Union for a tasty treat
My kids and I love a stop at Ice Cream Union—my favourite flavour is the vegan coconut chocolate chip but, really, they are delicious. It is the perfect sugar fix and mid-way reward while back-to-school shopping.

The PEANUTS x Anya Hindmarch for stationery
The PEANUTS x Anya Hindmarch pop-up is so much fun for all the children. Adults, too. They have such cute mini stationery bits, like branded sellotape and pens. Well worth a visit to replenish those back-to-school pencil cases.

Smythson for notebooks
The brand’s My First Smythson collection is perfect for older children to encourage their love of writing (and practice that handwriting too!). Choosing from the stunning array of stationery and leather-bound books is the perfect way to round-out a day of back-to-school shopping.
