Just in time for the return to school, Anya Hindmarch’s latest concept store at The Village on Pont Street is a playfully nostalgic stationery shop created in collaboration with Peanuts, Charles M. Schultz’s iconic comic strip.
Setting the tone for the playful experience inside, the store is entered by stepping through the door of a classic yellow Peanuts school bus. Once ‘on board’, you’ll find yourself in Charlie Brown’s classroom, complete with a blackboard, vintage school desks, and pigeonholes filled with a charming array of Peanuts-inspired stationery.
Inside, the collection offers a range of limited-edition pieces, from notepads adorned with Snoopy’s serene moments atop his doghouse to pencil cases featuring a jubilant Woodstock, and each piece is crafted in Peanuts’ signature joyful colour palette and carries a hint of nostalgia alongside contemporary design.
“September will always feel like the start of a new year to me – the perfect time for new stationery,” says Anya Hindmarch. “This year, I’m delighted to unveil our stationery store and collection featuring the world’s best-loved comic strip, Peanuts. So, step inside the classic yellow school bus and immerse yourself in the world of Charlie Brown and his friends.”
Other highlights of the Peanuts x Anya Hindmarch collection include the popular I Am A Plastic Bag totes, reimagined with Snoopy busy at his typewriter or in repose, with his nose pointed skywards. There is also a laptop case, a selection of pens, erasers and sticky notes, as well as phone charms and keyrings.
From Snoopy’s rooftop daydreams to Charlie Brown’s eternal optimism, the spirit of the Peanuts gang is brilliantly captured in this collection of stationery, adding a dash of joy to everyday tasks, whether at school, work or out and about.
The Peanuts x Anya Hindmarch = Stationery Shop is open until October 13th at The Village Hall, 11 Pont Street.
