If you’re looking for an exciting way to ring in the New Year, there is no shortage of fun things planned for the big night in Chelsea. In fact, we have hand-picked so many tempting options that you may have trouble deciding where to be for the countdown to 2024.

Whatever your preference, there is something for everyone happening in the neighbourhood, from world-class dining and traditional British pubs to glamorous, up-late dancefloor revelry. Here are the best New Year’s Eve events in Chelsea 2023…

Cocktails at Azzurra
AZZURRA

Indulge in a sensational five-course, seafood-focused Italian feast at Sloane Street’s newest world-class restaurant. Start things off with canapés such as a Sicilian red prawn tartlet served with Italian caviar before sitting down to antipasti, pasta, a main course and pudding. Menu highlights include a scallop tartare served with Jerusalem artichoke, black garlic and candied almonds; the black truffle tagliolini with grated egg yolk and aged Parmesan; the monkfish tail with confit potato, crispy red prawns and cauliflower purée. Wrap things up with a selection of irresistible dolci. There will be an Italian three-piece band adding to the atmosphere during dinner, and a DJ will keep the energy up until 1am.

Address: Azzurra, 127-128 Sloane Street, SW1X 9AS

THE LALEE

To ring in the New Year in timeless style, book a table at The LaLee within The Cadogan, A Belmond Hotel, to indulge in a five-course menu designed to reflect the refined taste and inimitable glamour of the restaurant’s namesake, Lillie Langtry, all set to a programme of live entertainment.

Beginning with a starter of either crab, grapefruit and avocado or goose liver terrine with Sauternes jelly and poached grapes, the menu also features a “middle course” of langoustine, followed by the choice of venison or turbot, followed by a “pre-dessert” of blackcurrant and Champagne trifle, and then the option of either a citrus pavlova or a vanilla and caramel mille-feuille for actual dessert. Indulgent, no? And what a great idea. An even greater idea would be to book a room at the hotel so that when it comes time to toddle off to bed, it’s just a few steps away.
