So, you’re going on a date.

You want to impress your lucky companion with an evening that is considered, personal and hits all the right notes while avoiding all the clichés.

We’ve got you.

We asked three of Sloane Street’s celebrated concierges to put their incredible expertise to use in curating some options for date night that are guaranteed to win hearts and minds.

So whether it’s for Valentine’s Day or a date night that calls for extra attention to detail, forget the crowded prix fixe menus and hackneyed rose bouquets, because true romance lies in thoughtfully crafted experiences, designed to deepen connection and ignite intimacy.

Below, be inspired by these expertly curated and utterly unforgettable date itineraries from the Street’s concierges…

DATE VIBE: ELEGANT ROMANCE
Curated by Lee Hubbard, concierge at The Cadogan, A Belmond Hotel

Show your date just how much they mean to you with this personally curated tour of Chelsea’s finest and most romantic places – a winning mixture of cool and contemporary, classy and refined. Whether it is your first date or your 100th, these places will be guaranteed to get you both in the Valentine’s mood.

Aperitif:

Get the evening off to the best start possible with a drink at the beautiful Art Deco-inspired Sir Frank’s Bar at the Beaverbrook Town House. The bar manages to be both classic and colourful, and the theatrical heritage of the rooms and public areas extends to the excellent cocktail list too.

Wine & Dine:

What says romance more than a classic Italian dinner? From the renowned Antinori family, a leading wine producer in Tuscany since 1385, Cantinetta Antinori strikes a perfect balance between elegant decor, excellent food and wine, knowledgeable service and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Make sure you finish with its delicious tortino al cioccolato.

Night Cap:

To end your romantic evening, there can be only one choice – The LaLee bar at The Cadogan. Round off the perfect night by sampling a cocktail (or two…) at our fabulous bar – cosy up at one of the comfortable tables, or sit right up at the beautiful bar and watch the bar team in action. For this Valentine’s Day, they have created a speciality cocktail called “Le Bisou” (that’s French for kiss), a gin-based cocktail infused with homemade rose syrup, strawberry, Chambord and lemon.

DATE VIBE: SOPHISTICATED AND SEDUCTIVE
Curated by the …At Sloane concierge team
Aperitif:

For the ultimate start to your romantic evening, book a sunset helicopter ride over London. The heliport is conveniently located right on the Thames, just moments away from …At Sloane. Take a bottle of Champagne up with you as you take in the city’s skyline in all its glory – it’s a truly unforgettable experience.

Wine & Dine:

…At Sloane offers the ideal sexy backdrop to pronounce the immortal words of ‘je t’aime’ to your Valentine. We think no one does all-out romance like the French, which is why our top-floor restaurant is suffused with sultry ambience from carefully chosen music and the warm glow of candlelight to set the scene. Surrounded by stained-glass windows for British intimacy, enjoy a menu of classic dishes that blend French flair and Chelsea flavour. Try the caviar, pavlova and Champagne for a match made in heaven! So Parisian, so seductive…

Night Cap:

After dinner, move downstairs to our speakeasy bar for the promise of sensual delights and only the most charming of atmospheres to court your lover. With a consummate selection of fine wines, hand-mixed cocktails and enticing snacks, sink into our plush banquette seating or sneak into a snug room to whisper sweet nothings to your lover.

For the ultimate in seduction, end the night at one of our 30 bespoke bedrooms, where you’ll find black-and-white photographs of embracing couples on the walls and the School of Life’s intimacy-inducing Pillow Talk card game, and ‘Love’ buttons that instantly dim the lights to really set you in the mood for l’amour.

DATE VIBE: FUN AND FLIRTATIOUS
Curated by the Beaverbrook Town House host team

For those still in the early stages of romance and looking for the chance to sweep their potential love off their feet with an evening of good old-fashioned fun, we recommend keeping things light, playful and slightly mischievous by choosing must-visit Chelsea destinations that offer the opportunity to get to know your date; places that are lively but not overly noisy – nor too intimate!

Pre-dinner tipple: The Cadogan Arms

This historic venue is one of the coolest boozers in the area. Burnt orange, ruby red and dark wood interiors help set the tone for a flirty yet relaxed date night. Hop into one of the stalls that line the sprawling bar to keep things casual and choose from a carefully curated selection of wines, bespoke beers and classic cocktails.

Wine & Dine: The Fuji Grill Sushi Bar at Beaverbrook Town House

Designed by Nicola Harding in tones of jewel green and hung with Japanese art, The Fuji Grill Sushi Bar is a hidden gem for flirty fun thanks to its myriad of whimsical cocktails created by the bartenders of Sir Frank’s Bar and beautifully crafted Japanese dishes designed to delight the eyes and palate. Dine on flawless sushi, sashimi and nigiri. Or, for a surefire way to impress your date, order the Konro BBQ Wagyu (you can thank us later!).

Nightcap: Barts Bar

Self-proclaimed as ‘London’s worst-kept secret’, Barts in Chelsea Cloisters is the ultimate choice for the final stop of date night (providing you’re after a second date, that is). Hidden away in the heart of Chelsea, this speakeasy boasts bold and eclectic interiors, including a secret garden tucked away from prying eyes for sipping secretly crafted concoctions.
