BEST PLACE FOR A LOW-KEY DINNER
For a low-key dinner, I love the newly refurbished Belmond Cadogan bar and restaurant – The LaLee – which serves up iconic European dishes and timeless classics, with a bit of old-school table-side theatre. Signature dishes include beef tartare, Dover sole and Caesar salad – washed down with a gin martini.
The LaLee, 75 Sloane St, SW1X 9SG
BEST PLACE TO IMPRESS A DATE
The omakase sushi bar at Beaverbrook Town House is a real hidden gem and great for date night. Arrive early for a pre-dinner drink at the cosy bar, followed by exquisite plates of sushi – made right in front of you by the chef across from the sushi counter.
The Fuji Grill at Beaverbrook Town House, 115-116 Sloane St, SW1X 9PJ
BEST PLACE FOR LUNCH WITH YOUR MUM
My mum would be super impressed with Holy Carrot as they serve innovative plant-based dishes, including vegan sushi, made with cauliflower rice and crispy quinoa. The service is friendly and the interiors are stunning there, too!
Holy Carrot at Urban Retreat, 2-4 Hans Crescent, SW1X 0LH
BEST PLACE FOR A QUICK BITE
I would definitely recommend the light-filled and buzzy Sloane Street Deli for a nice breakfast, healthy lunch or quick bite. I was super impressed by the incredible dips (think hummus, baba ganoush, beetroot borani and whipped labneh) served with freshly made flatbreads. If you’re in a rush, they also have a deli counter for grab and go.
Sloane Street Deli, 162B Sloane St, SW1X 9BS
BEST PLACE FOR A ROMANTIC COCKTAIL
Sir Frank’s Bar, also at Beaverbrook Town House, is a great new spot on Sloane Street to visit for cocktails. It’s an art deco-inspired bar with a cocktail menu which is largely theatre themed. Try the ‘Madame Butterfly’ – gin, greengage liqueur, bergamot, lemon and honey.
