The Fuji Grill is celebrating the Emperor’s Birthday with a one-off Emperor’s Birthday Banquet this Friday

20 February 2024

This Friday, 23 February 2024, the current ruling Emperor of Japan, Naruhito, will celebrate his 64th birthday. The occasion will be celebrated with a national holiday in Japan and, here on Sloane Street, Beaverbrook Town House will be celebrating with a special Emperor’s Birthday Banquet at The Fuji Grill, the hotel’s exceptional Japanese restaurant.

Guests can enjoy a specially curated set menu crafted by Chef Pavel, featuring the launch of a wood-fired roasted Kyoto duck, The Fuji Grill’s phenomenal new interpretation of the classic Peking duck.

The menu promises to delight palates with authentic flavours and innovative culinary techniques, with dishes including prawn and chive sui mai dumplings served with warm ponzu; roasted hispi cabbage maki with thyme and citrus soy; and quail kara-age (an indulgent Japanese frying technique).

The wood-fired roasted Kyoto duck is the star of the six-course menu, which will culminate in a light and creamy matcha tiramisu

For those interested in experiencing a taste of Japanese culture and celebrating the Emperor’s Birthday in a unique dining experience, the set menu is priced at £90 per person and reservations are available for tables of up to six people by calling 01372 571300 or via beaverbrooktownhouse.co.uk
