The Aubrey
The Aubrey brings a darker, more decadent kind of glamour to the area around Sloane Street. Set within Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London, this Japanese izakaya and cocktail bar offers an immersive dining and drinking experience shaped by Japanese flavours, Asian ingredients and the energy of a night out in Ginza.
Inside, the atmosphere is richly layered and theatrical. The space is adorned with more than 250 pieces of Japonistic art, creating a world that feels intimate, eccentric and beautifully removed from the everyday. It is a destination for guests who want dinner to become an evening, and drinks to feel like part of the performance.
The food is an elegant interpretation of traditional izakaya dining. Guests can enjoy Japanese-inspired dishes, bar snacks, a seven-course omakase menu and an elevated sando bar, which brings a refined take on Tokyo’s much-loved Japanese sandwiches to Knightsbridge. The menu is designed for sharing, lingering and moving easily from dinner into late-night drinks.
Cocktails are central to The Aubrey’s appeal. The bar explores Japanese spirits and Asian ingredients through inventive serves, including an omakase cocktail experience with paired drinks and dishes. There is also a considered sake and wine list, making the venue as much a destination for cocktails as it is for Japanese dining.
At weekends, The Aubrey takes on a more celebratory mood. Its brunch brings together refined izakaya dishes, London brunch favourites, bottomless cocktails and champagne, while Friday and Saturday evenings introduce curated DJ sets for a late-night atmosphere.
For private dining, The Aubrey offers a collection of intimate and highly styled spaces. These include a private dining room for up to 18 guests, a private omakase bar, the Library, the Curio Room and the Salon Bar, each designed for discreet dinners, celebrations and memorable events.
With its Japanese cuisine, art-filled interiors, inventive cocktails and late-night energy, The Aubrey is a glamorous dining destination for those looking to extend a day of shopping into an unforgettable evening.
The Aubrey is one of several outstanding restaurants and dining destinations on Sloane Street. Reserve a table or contact the restaurant directly for further information.
