The Ice Cream Project Returns for Another Summer of Delicious Madness in 2026

Anya Hindmarch’s wonderfully weird frozen flavours are back, with OXO cubes, Paxo stuffing and Euthymol toothpaste all making the leap from pantry to parlour.

Anya Hindmarch’s Ice Cream Project returns for 2026 with another crop of brilliantly bonkers flavours, transforming everything from OXO Stock Cubes and Euthymol toothpaste to Paxo stuffing and Mini Cheddars into frozen treats. Returning to The Village Hall from 5 June to 16 August, the cult concept store is back for its fifth summer — and it may just be the strangest batch yet.

A tub of Euthymol toothpaste ice cream sitting beside one flavoured with OXO cubes is not, strictly speaking, what one expects to find in Chelsea in June. But then, normality has never been much of an interest to Anya Hindmarch.

Returning to The Village Hall from 5 June to 16 August, The Ice Cream Project is back for its fifth summer, once again filling sleek silver freezers with flavours inspired by cult pantry staples rather than traditional dessert ingredients. Think store-cupboard essentials, favourite biscuits and the sort of things usually found several aisles away from the Häagen-Dazs.

As ever, some scoops are reassuringly nostalgic. McVitie’s Ginger Nuts become a warmly spiced ice cream with a fiery crunch. Lurpak Salted Butter is rich, silky and deeply comforting. Jacob’s Mini Cheddars are transformed into a mellow cheese anglaise studded with little savoury nuggets. And Walker’s Shortbread offers precisely the sort of Scottish reassurance one hopes for from pudding.

Others sound like the result of a particularly spirited game of culinary roulette.

OXO Stock Cubes have been reimagined as a caramelised beef stock ice cream with a hint of salt. Paxo Stuffing lends its familiar sage-and-onion notes to a surprisingly creamy scoop. Aunt Bessie’s appears in the form of golden syrup ice cream scattered with generous chunks of Yorkshire pudding. And perhaps the most magnificently eccentric of the lot, Euthymol Original Toothpaste becomes a eucalyptus ice cream infused with dried thyme — described by Anya as a palate cleanser.

Handmade in small batches in Devon using premium ingredients, each flavour is available by the scoop or in 500ml tubs, making them ideal for anyone who enjoys their desserts with a side of curiosity.

Also returning is the much-loved Ice Cream Project Blind Tasting Tea at the Anya Café. Guests are invited to sample all 15 flavours with wafers and sprinkles, armed with scorecards and branded Ice Cream Project pencils while attempting to identify each mystery scoop. There are few afternoon teas in London where correctly identifying toothpaste counts as a triumph.

Those who prefer their frozen treats after hours should keep an eye out for this year’s Ice Cream Project Lates, while the brand’s collectible baseball caps are back, too.

Last summer’s queues suggested that Londoners have developed an unexpected appetite for pickled onions and baked beans in ice cream form. This year, the challenge is deciding whether Yorkshire pudding, stuffing or beef stock belongs on top of the leaderboard.

Or whether the answer, somehow, is toothpaste.
