Seen on Sloane: Chelsea in Bloom 2025 edition
When the Chelsea Flower Show rolls into town, the style set doesn’t so much rise to the occasion as bloom. And this year, with the 20th anniversary of Chelsea in Bloom transforming the neighbourhood into a floral fantasia inspired by this year’s theme, ‘Flowers in Fashion’, the looks have been suitably showstopping.
Over 130 of the neighbourhood’s boutiques, hotels and restaurants are taking part in the world-class alternative floral art show, decking out their façades with stunning fresh flower installations chanelling major sartorial moments, from grand Victorian elegance to anarchists punk style and the frothy antique lace-inspired creation that earned Jessica McCormack this year’s top prize .
And week’s fashionable attendees? They’ve matched the mood, turning Chelsea into an impromptu catwalk of lace, linen and florals (obviously).
Spotted among the blooms: Joely Richardson in boho silk, Amanda Holden in petal-pink zigzags, and Penny Lancaster in blue and white floral co-ords with serious garden party energy. There were basket bags. There were sun hats. There were slingbacks, espadrilles, and more wedges than you could shake a bouquet at.
From petal-pink tailoring to full-blown floral fantasy, these were the standout looks spotted on the opening day of the Chelsea Flower Show and Chelsea in Bloom.
The installations are in full bloom until Sunday May 25, so wander down to Sloane Street and the surrounding neighbourhood to soak up the spectacle — and don’t forget to vote for your favourite display here.
Curious what all the floral fuss is about? Here’s where to sip, shop and stroll during Chelsea in Bloom 2025.
