This September, Chelsea will welcome the inaugural Chelsea Arts Festival, a three-day celebration of the area’s remarkable cultural legacy that will bring together some of the brightest names from page, stage and screen, served with the polish, pedigree and personality embedded in the neighbourhood’s DNA.
Presented by Country & Town House (C&TH) Events in association with Cadogan, the Festival will take place from 19–21 September 2025 across a range of Chelsea institutions: Cadogan Hall, the Royal Court Theatre, and the Saatchi Gallery, alongside events and installations throughout Sloane Street, Duke of York Square, Sloane Square, and King’s Road.
Chelsea’s creative credentials speak for themselves—home to Oscar Wilde, The Rolling Stones, Vivienne Westwood, JMW Turner… the list is long and fascinating. The Festival arrives just as Sloane Street emerges from a £46-million transformation, reaffirming its place as one of the world’s most elegant destinations.
Expect a thoughtfully curated programme of classical and contemporary entertainment, concerts, literary salons, intellectually engaging debates, theatre performances, spoken word, music, visual art and more—all with Chelsea’s distinctive creative flair.
There will be household names and rising talent, unexpected pairings, and—crucially—a spirit of cultural openness, with events extending beyond traditional venues and into Chelsea’s most iconic public spaces. The full line-up will be announced in May, and yes, there will be surprises. Big ones.
“This is a neighbourhood that’s long been a beacon of creativity—the haunt of artists, radicals, painters and poets,” says Hugh Seaborn, chief executive of Cadogan. “We look forward to seeing the Festival ignite the area with further artistic energy.”
“There will be no other festival like it,” adds Lucy Cleland, editorial director of Country & Town House. “Chelsea will be front and centre of the capital’s cultural conversation—with music, food and entertainment spilling out into its fabled streets.”
