Five of the best: Negronis

We traversed the bars of Chelsea to find the five best Negronis available in the neighbourhood

13 November 2023

With its characteristic vermillion glow, the Negroni is a classic cocktail with a cult following of connoisseurs with grown-up palates. It’s the aperitivo of choice for stylish sorts in Milan and true devotees understand the rarity of a perfectly mixed serve, blending just the right amount of gin, Campari and vermouth.

So we went on a quest to find the five best Negronis currently being served in Chelsea’s world-class bars, factoring in ambience as well as ingredients and presentation.

Here are the delightfully bitter results and for more insightful local guides, check out our Instagram Reels here

The Cadogan, A Belmond Hotel

The bar at The Cadogan, A Belmond Hotel, offers a Negroni that exudes timeless elegance. Crafted with precision, this version of the classic balances the bitter notes of Campari with the sweetness of vermouth and the botanicals of gin. Served with a single ice cube and a twist of orange peel.
