Chelsea’s Best Brunches

Brunch: so much better than breakfast, on the grounds that it allows for a lie-in while generally permitting greater indulgence, perhaps even with a cheeky bloody Mary, and the chance to linger for a few hours.

We’re all for it.

From healthy and light dishes that will leave your halo in situ, to the all-out decadence of a full English breakfast with the works, here is our round-up of the best brunches in Chelsea, ready for the weekend.

Granger & Co.

Bill Granger’s Chelsea restaurant brings Australia’s fresh and innovative brunch classics to Pavilion Road, with treats such as ricotta hotcakes, banana and honeycomb butter, or Granger’s famous sweetcorn fritters with roast tomato, spinach and bacon.

Hans’ Bar & Grill

Aside from a genius breakfast cocktail list, there are cold-pressed juices and the extremely tempting brioche French toast with banana, Nutella and caramelised walnuts, and a classic English breakfast, complete with streaky bacon. There are healthier options too, such as coconut granola with blueberries, and vegan pastries. All served in sumptuous surrounds.

Ivy Chelsea Garden

The Ivy Chelsea Garden’s brunch offering is as diverse as the clientele is glamorous. And brunch in the sunshine in the stunning garden is a delightful experience. The breakfast menu includes pastries, light and healthy options, and a variety of egg dishes. We especially love the simple nostalgia of toasted crumpets with Marmite. Meanwhile, the dedicated weekend brunch menu is served from 11am to 4pm and features classic Ivy staples such as shepherd’s pie and steak tartare.
