Chelsea will receive its annual dusting of Christmas sparkle with the Chelsea Christmas Lights Switch On, signalling the beginning of the most wonderful time of the year in the neighbourhood on Saturday 20 November.

Festivities will kick off at 2pm, with roaming performances across the neighbourhood and festive entertainment on a stage on the King’s Road, which will be part-pedestrianised for the very first time.

The Christmas edition of the Fine Food Market will be taking place at Duke of York Square (DOYS), where you can pick up a cup of glühwein or hot chocolate and a seasonal snack, or stop by the Sloane Square Winter Terrace for al fresco refreshments from the Botanist and the Court. While you’re at DOYS, be sure to walk through the magical festive arcade.

Rudolph and all his reindeer pals will be on the running track outside the Saatchi Gallery before their services are required on Christmas Eve and little ones can have their faces painted in preparation for the big moment when Father Christmas will switch on the lights at 5pm with the help of a local little hero, a very special child from the top of the ‘nice’ list.

Together, they will help transform Chelsea into London’s most magical Christmastime neighbourhood, as dazzling swathes twinkling garlands and regal crowns sparkle to life before an inaugural fireworks display wraps up a truly unforgettable day.
