With so many world-class restaurants and hotels in the neighbourhood, there’s plenty of choice. Here, we’ve hand-picked the best private dining rooms in Chelsea, from opulent grandeur to cosy comfort.

The Cadogan, A Belmond Hotel
The Cadogan, A Belmond Hotel – The Cadogan Rooms
Up to 80 guests
Oscar and Lillie, the two adjoining private dining spaces at The Cadogan are named after two of the hotel’s most legendary past residents: Oscar Wilde and Lillie Langtry. As socialites and stars of London society, both loved to entertain and were famed for their debaucheries, romantic scandals and parties.
Today, The Cadogan brings their spirit to life through decadent private events hosted in their namesake rooms, which provide beautiful, flexible spaces for events accommodating up to 80 guests.
Access to the private dining spaces is via a private entrance on 21 Pont Street, which was once the entrance to Langtry’s town house, which she sold to the hotel in 1895. Her original wood-panelled walls and mosaic floor with floral motif can still be seen today. A tailored menu is served from the hotel’s brand new café-restaurant, The LaLee, where European cuisine is inspired by the worldly voyages of Lillie Langtry, with specialty cocktails and over 80 wines by the glass.
