This week, London will sparkle with fashion editors, stylists, buyers, influencers and celebrities who have travelled from all over the world for the city’s biannual Fashion Week (so don’t be surprised if you spot some seriously stylish people walking the streets).
And while the four-day event has traditionally been an industry-only trade show organised by the British Fashion Council, in recent years the whole city has joined in with the celebrations.
This year, as part of the City Wide festivities, Chelsea will welcome a whole host of events. Read on to discover the most exciting happenings on and around Sloane Street this September.
Burberry
Trust Burberry to come up with something totally left-field for Fashion Week. The heritage British brand has partnered with Norman’s, a quintessentially British café in north London, for a special food truck in Duke of York Square that’ll be serving up fried eggs, English muffins and the like. Oh, and it’ll be decked out in the brand’s signature check, of course.
Anya Hindmarch
For the very first time, Anya Hindmarch’s ever-changing Village Hall will host an external store: Tokyo’s speciality stationers, Itoya. This collaboration with the cult-favourite Japanese boutique is a paradise for anyone who loves beautiful pens and pencils, so don’t expect to leave empty handed. And be sure to pop into the adjacent Anya Café for some stylish refreshments afterwards.
Diptyque
Make your Diptyque purchase even more special on 15 September with a complimentary engraving at its Sloane Street boutique – perfect if you’re buying for a loved one, or to mark an occasion.
Available from 2-6pm for Les Mondes de Diptyque refillable candles, 190g candles, 75ml eau de parfum and 100ml eau de toilette.
Kiki McDonough
As the fashion world gets the lowdown on the latest trends, join the jewellery experts at Kiki McDonough for your own styling session – it’s complimentary and we hear champagne is involved, too.
To book, please email retail@kiki.co.uk with your preferred date and time.
The LaLee at The Cadogan, A Belmond Hotel
Head to The LaLee on Sloane Street during Fashion Week to enjoy a complimentary glass of wine from the restaurant’s Sommelier selection when you order the set menu – the perfect pit stop in between shows.
Available from 12-10pm for London Fashion Week’s City Wide Celebration attendees.
Emilia Wickstead
Ahead of Emilia Wickstead’s spring/summer 24 catwalk show, the brand will host a glitzy in-store event on Sloane Street to showcase its made-to-order and bespoke services – if you’ve got an important event coming up, this one is for you.
15 September from 10am-6pm.
Anabela Chan
Anabela Chan recently partnered with Miss Sohee to create the haute couture designer’s catwalk jewellery – it is simply stunning, with Chan’s signature floral jewels taken to a whole new level. This week, those designs will be on display in the brand’s boutique, alongside the custom gown Miss Sohee designed for Cardi B to wear to the Met Gala.
Duck & Dry
Loved for its cocktail and blow-dry pairings, Duck & Dry on the King’s Road is the ultimate place to prep for all the Fashion Week parties in your calendar. This week, the salon is offering complimentary cocktails with every appointment so you can do just that.
Sarah Chapman
Fashion Week is one of the busiest periods of the season for many – the late nights, early mornings and dashing between shows need to be countered with some self-care, so why not indulge in some skincare at Sarah Chapman Skinesis Clinic? When you book the Hyaluronic Meso Infusion Glow Zone Facial, you’ll receive a complimentary Platinum Meso-Melt Infusion System worth £138.
FaceGym
Speaking of self-care, there’s also FaceGym on the King’s Road, which is giving away free boosters with every workout, plus a special gift with workouts booked for Sunday 17. Its facial sculpting is the perfect way to rejuvenate after a busy week.
Free booster from 5-19 September with code ‘LFW’ (excludes all Radio Frequency and Cryo Oxygen boosters). Book for Sunday 17 and receive a free gift using code ‘Self-Care-LFW’.
Tanner Krolle
Have Tanner Krolle’s leather bags been on your wish list for a while? This might be the week to invest, as the artisanal brand will personalise your new item for free, and there’ll be a champagne and tequila bar in-store to keep you refreshed while you wait.
Papersmiths
To mark Fashion Week, Pavilion Road’s resident stationer Papersmiths is offering a 15% discount (just give it the code ‘TotesLFW’). Grab one of the boutique’s canvas tote bags or kit your desk out with a chic planner and pen for the academic year to come.
