This week, innovative plant-based restaurant Holy Carrot is bringing a magic touch to the cocktail hour with its new bar, Holy Bar.
Described as a “world of mystery”, Holy Bar is the place to go if you like your aperitif served with a little divination on the side, your cocktails to come with crystal therapy, or a glass of pinot while you consult the tarot.
Inspired by Dali’s surreal worlds and Peter Pan’s Neverland, Holy Bar is the kind of place where your inner witch or wizard is welcome to come out and play. The space is scented with white sage and the hidden dark corners of the bar are generously decorated with candles and crystals, creating an atmosphere that pulses with possibility, mystery and illusion. Muggles, keep your raised eyebrows to yourselves.

Holy Carrot and Holy Bar founder Irina Linovich said the bar has been created “as a place for joy, happiness and freedom. A space where dreaming is essential. We want our people to fall in love with life.”
The cocktails served at Holy Bar are named after Major Arcana tarot cards and have been curated to reflect the energy surrounding the guests’ individual drinking experience.
All cocktails are £12.50 and include The Star, Piper-Heidsieck Essentiel Extra Brut Champagne with homemade blackberry sorbet; The Magician, with dark and white rum, ginger liqueur, Fernet Branca Menta, lime juice and homemade carob soda; and The Sun, Saliza amaretto-infused vodka, Mozart dark chocolate liqueur, espresso and almond syrup.
There is also a selection of non-alcoholic drinks on the menu, including The World, which is centred around Nightcap, the adaptogenic elixir by Three Spirit Drinks made with tree saps, aromatic plants and ancient remedies used to relax and unwind. It’s mixed with fresh lime, homemade cranberry syrup and Belu fiery ginger beer.
Drinks are served alongside crystal therapy, tarot readings and immersive experiences, as well as a menu of plant-based snacks that underscore Holy Carrot’s mission to offer its guests a new way of experiencing vegan food and drinks.
The chefs have designed a menu of imaginative bar snacks to complement the cocktails at Holy Bar, including “fish” and chips, made from nori-wrapped tofu in crystal tempura with purple potato and Jerusalem artichoke chips – served under a dome of smoke, and buffalo “calamari”, palm heart “calamari” served with green sour cream and homemade hickory buffalo sauce. As with all Holy Carrot dishes, these are free from gluten, dairy, refined sugar, preservatives and additives. Holy indeed.
