Join us on Saturday, 5 October 2024 for the much-anticipated return of Chelsea Dog Day, a celebration of one of London’s most dog-friendly neighbourhoods that promises to be a delightful day for you and your four-legged companions.
From 10am to 4pm at Duke of York Square, there will be a dog-themed market curated by the Four Legged Foodies. This charming collection of stalls will showcase 20 doggy-devoted brands, offering everything from delicious canine treats to stylish accessories from Hiro + Wolf and Caboodle.
For those seeking expert advice, Chelsea Canines’ renowned behaviourist, Dr Nicky Shaw, will be offering tips on dog handling, while Napo Pet Care will be giving away complimentary scent-work games to keep both owners and dogs entertained.
King’s Dog Daycare will also be on-site, providing complimentary pooch photography sessions and, of course, delicious puppuccinos. Don’t forget to stop by our giant sausage dog bench to capture a whimsical memento of your day together.
This year’s Chelsea Dog Day will support the work of Pets As Therapy, which works to enhance the health and well-being of people in communities across the UK. The charity’s expert team will also be on hand to discuss their impactful work.
Be sure to enter the raffle for a chance to win one of the impressive prizes from local businesses, with all proceeds going directly towards this worthy cause. Prize highlights include a striking dog collar and lead, plus a £50 gift voucher from Aspiga; a luxurious haircare gift bag worth £150 from Richard Ward; and a £100 gift voucher from The Cadogan Arms. Check out the full list of prizes here.
Beyond the Square, over 75 of Chelsea’s beloved shops, restaurants, and hotels will be embracing the spirit of the day with in-store celebrations. From Anabela Chan’s bespoke dog chains with baroque pearls, glass bead charms and detachable birthstones in collaboration with Austrian sustainable dog brand Pintu to pooch portraits by Dog photographer Amie Barron at Giorgio Armani, dog-friendly ice creams and bespoke floral dog collars, there is something for every pup on offer.
Discover Prada’s chic pet collection as your furry friend enjoys a treat or two, while The Cadogan, A Belmond Hotel, will be serving a dedicated menu for canines, with dishes including beef tartare, salmon, spinach and eggs and more, as well as a limited-edition gin-based cocktail, the ‘Chelsea Spaniel’, that is strictly for humans.
Elsewhere, The Aubery at the Mandarin Oriental will be serving a ‘Pawberry Menu’ for pooches, including peanut butter biscuits, flaked Norwegian salmon and more while you enjoy brunch, and if you visit The Butcher’s Tap and Grill on the day, dogs will love the special crispy pigs ears.
There will be a Dog-friendly Chelsea map available on the day but, until then you can find all the details at kingsroad.co.uk.
