Join the ‘Little Egg Hunt’

Join in an Easter egg hunt for one-of-a-kind artist-designed giant eggs throughout Chelsea

28 March 2024

Returning to the streets of Chelsea for Easter, the “Little Egg Hunt” is back with a trail of egg-ceptional art, featuring 12 giant, elaborately designed eggs scattered throughout the neighbourhood from Pont Street and Sloane Square to Pavilion Road and Duke of York Square.

Once again spearheaded by Royal charity Elephant Family, in partnership with Clarence Court, the much-loved egg-shaped sculptures are a celebration of art, philanthropy and Easter merriment, and will be on display until 15 April 2024.

This year’s cohort of artists includes a diverse range of established and emerging talents, from Anya Hindmarch’s playful signature eyes and sculptor James McQueen’s pop-art-inspired egg, to Philip Colbert’s whimsical signature lobster and interior designer Allegra Hicks’s elegant interpretation of the theme of protection. This impressive line-up ensures there’s something to suit all tastes on the trail.

Don’t miss the eye-catching psychedelic egg by husband-and-wife artist duo Rob and Nick Carter nor the surrealism of award-winning filmmaker and multimedia artist Charlotte Colbert’s egg. And outside The Conran Shop, you’ll find a captivating egg by Bellerby, the only truly bespoke maker of globes in the world.

And, if you fall wildly in love with one of the eggs, it could be yours: throughout Easter next year, 200 of these egg-xquisite creations will be “laid” across London as part of the “Big Egg Hunt” and be sold at auction in aid of Elephant Family, which was founded in 2003 by Mark Shand, the Queen Consort’s late brother, to raise awareness and funds to support vital conservation efforts to protect endangered Asian elephants.

The charity works tirelessly to secure safe habitats for these majestic creatures and empower local communities to coexist peacefully with them. His Majesty King Charles III and Her Majesty The Queen are joint Royal Presidents of Elephant Family and passionate supporters of conservation work.
