Get organised at AHStationery

Anya Hindmarch has opened a pop-up stationery shop to mark the start of the academic term this September

14 September 2022

Pritt Stick pencil case, £250
A5 stickered journal, £325

Pencil? Check. Ruler? Check. Eraser? Check. Ah yes, the annual ritual of filling up a pencil case with fresh stationery was one of the highlights of the academic term for most of us (unlike the often agonising shopping trip for new school shoes).

Those days may be long behind most of us (or perhaps you have little ones who are just starting theirs), but September will always trigger that clean-slate, back-to-routine feeling that simply compels you to freshen up your desk, buy a nice pen or open a new notebook.

With that in mind, Anya Hindmarch has opened a special stationery shop at her ever-changing space, The Village Hall on Pont Street, with nostalgic treats on offer for everyone. “Post the summer holidays always feels like the start of a new year for me,” Anya says. Whether your homework involves algebra or more grown-up (but much less complicated) things like making grocery lists and diarising dates, AHStationery has the supplies to help you do it with joy.

Open until 16 October, the shop is filled with the kind of quirky objects that we have come to expect from Hindmarch, such as a Pritt-Stick pencil case, a retro stickered journal, bespoke bookmarks, a chubby heart stress ball and a pencil holder shaped like, well, a pencil.

But that’s not all – the brand has partnered with cult favourite stationers Present & Correct to stock the store from floor to ceiling with beautifully designed stationery and sundries from around the world (think: clips, staplers, tape, and much more), as well as a limited-edition line of collaborative items.

And in the spirit of organisation, Chelsea-based productivity consultant Next Action Associates will be running classes on its proprietary Getting Things Done methodology – the art of working smarter and living better. Each one-hour-long session will teach you skills to transform the way you manage your work and life. Anya swears by it.
