This is the world’s leading museum of art, design and performance, with a permanent collection of more than 2.3 million objects spanning over 5,000 years of human creativity. On display are architectural artefacts, furniture, fashion, textiles, photography, sculpture, painting, jewellery, glass, ceramics, book arts, Asian art and design, theatre and performance. There are also temporary exhibitions, as well as a calendar of talks, courses, workshops and events. The museum has shops and a cafe.
