There is no shortage of gorgeous interiors inspiration in Chelsea, from the art collection at The Cadogan, a Belmond Hotel, to Diptyque’s beautiful hand-painted floral feature wall, Bottega Veneta’s marbled surfaces and, of course, the endlessly chic …At Sloane hotel. The area also plays host to some of the world’s best designers, including David Mellor and The Conran Shop, both on Sloane Square. So, as the daffodils bloom and the urge for a spring refresh abounds, we’ve curated our favourite homewares from the neighbourhood to bring into your space this season.

If you’re looking for a radical change then try Dior’s toile de jouy wallpaper (there’s a version for kids, too), or head to Cole & Son on the King’s Road for a vast array of wallpaper and fabric options, from delicate florals to wild jungle creatures and from jaunty stripes to unexpected landscapes. 

Or you could invest in an artisanal rug, such as Hermès’ hand-embroidered Cordelie carpet, which will become a conversation point in any room. Fendi’s logo-woven throw has a gorgeous warm hue and is ideal for the season’s cooler evenings, but also for lounging on in the garden when the sun shines for longer. 

Furniture-wise, why not switch out your coffee table for Soho Home’s artful marble and terrazzo one, or have The Conran Shop upholster its stylish Arbor sofa in one of the 28 fabrics available from which to choose? The team in its Sloane Square flagship will be happy to advise if you’re not quite sure (we like the ‘Snow’ bouclé, pictured here).

Sir Terence Conran used to live up the road from The Conran Shop on Pavilion Road, where there is a very Picasso-esque vase and an embroidered cushion cover that evokes a summery scene – both will go down well with creatives, as will Dior’s hand-painted water glass and Anya Hindmarch’s quirky pencil shavings diffuser. 

Fiona Finds – perhaps one of Chelsea’s best-kept secrets – has a selection of rare decorative objects and antiques that’ll earn plenty of compliments every time you host. These mimosa-embroidered table linens and unusual handcrafted porcelain tulips are some of the boutique’s prettiest items for spring. 

Speaking of hosting, are you all stocked up on glassware? If not, head to Peter Jones and invest in a set of these confetti highball glasses to inject your table with a burst of colour. 

If your space epitomises quiet luxury then there is no better homeware collection for you than Brunello Cucinelli’s, which is as elegant as you’d expect. Our highlights are this cream glasses organiser (we didn’t know we needed one until now), and a sake-inspired ceramic cup set. 

Tiffany & Co.’s Elsa Peretti china dish is also suitably understated with its refined ‘thumbprint’ design detail. And having finally realised that we’ve been repurposing its stylish candle vessels for everything from plant pots to toothbrush holders, Diptyque has issued its own multipurpose tumbler and matching soap dish, which are crafted in collaboration with one of France’s finest porcelain makers. Don’t forget a bar of Philosykos scented soap for the latter. 

Fragrancing your home is a brilliant way to change the feeling of the space without any upheaval, and for this, we recommend Armani/Casa’s set of four mini candles, or Jo Malone London’s special Townhouse candles, which come in an attractive ceramic jar – the Green Tomato Vine scent is fresh and uplifting. 

Finally, a seasonal flower arrangement from Pavilion Road’s Moyses Stevens is one of the swiftest and simplest ways to beautify your home (and sometimes, it’s all you need). The florist also offers a monthly subscription to ensure your room is never without a bloom.
