Serpentine Gallery

Set over two sites – just five minutes’ walk apart – on either side of the Serpentine Bridge in Kensington Gardens, the Serpentine presents a year-round, free programme of exhibitions and events. Emerging and established contemporary art are showcased in the South and North galleries – the latter, a former gunpowder store with Zaha Hadid’s renowned ‘Magazine’ extension, also houses a restaurant and shop. The Pavilion – a temporary building that changes each year – hosts live programmes and events and has a cafe.
