The chicest places to brunch in Chelsea

A guide to the best brunch destinations on Sloane Street this summer

5 June 2024

Brunch: the breakfast for champions (who like to sleep in and maybe also have morning tipple). Who needs a boring routine when you can have sweet and savoury on the same plate, fueled by bottomless mimosas? Brunch is where pancakes and omelettes join forces with burgers and benedicts for a delicious fusion of breakfast and lunch.

With Chelsea’s vibrant brunch scene promising a perfect start to your day, we present a selection of the best spots for you to explore.

Azzurra

Sample a taste of la dolce vita with Azzurra’s Sunday brunch menu. The family-style menu is inspired by founder David Yeo’s travels around Sicily and the Amalfi Coast and features dishes such as sea bream tartare with avocado, lime, and hazelnut and busiate pasta served with Datterini tomato and prawns. For something sweet, the menu finishes with an indulgent dessert platter, showcasing the finest Italian delicacies. Buon appetito

Granger & Co.

On Pavilion Road, Bill Granger’s Granger & Co. is the place to visit for a laid-back brunch experience. Try the all-time favourite ricotta hotcakes with banana and honeycomb butter, as featured in the OnePlate Brunch in London cookbook – also effortless to make at home should inclement weather put you off venturing outside. If you fancy something a little more savoury, its egg dishes are delicious, such as the potato and feta rösti, poached eggs, hot smoked ChalkStream trout and dill yoghurt.

This award-winning restaurant boasts a unique brunch menu perfect for those with a penchant for Japanese cuisine. Available exclusively on the weekends, enjoy menu delights such as the Tokyo eggs Royale with yuzu hollandaise and classic Japanese fluffy pancakes, and pair with the selection of bottomless cocktails. We recommend the Japanese Bloody Mary to really kick off your weekend.

The LaLee

Chef Chris Hill’s twice-baked Montgomery cheese soufflé with celery, apple, and mustard dressing has been on the menu since the restaurant opened and is a popular Sloane Street staple. It’s definitely one to try to fully experience The LaLee.
