The Anya Mart, the latest concept store to open at Anya’s Village on Pont Street, is a tribute to the great British corner shop, a mini-mart with shelves stocked high with lots of grocery-inspired ‘produce’.

“I’ve always had a fascination with taking an everyday thing – a household brand, a day-to-day food item – and elevating it, using artistry and craftsmanship to turn something ordinary into something extraordinary,” explained Anya.

Open until 7 April 2024, the Anya Mart is a characteristically witty, luxury take on the beloved corner shop, a stalwart fixture of neighbourhoods the length and breadth of Britain. It offers tongue-in-cheek, luxury reimaginings of household brands turned into beautifully crafted charms, card cases, totes in raffia or sequin totes, making new additions to the Anya Brands collection.

Iconic corner-shop items like Cussons Imperial Leather soap, Lurpak butter and Carmex lip balm have been replicated in dinky leather charms, wallets and card holders, while sparkly sequined bucket bags are glamorous recreations of Foster’s beer or Perrier sparkling water, and silky pyjamas echo the timeless packaging of Kellogg’s Coco Pops or Frosties breakfast cereals.

Cylindrical coin purses playfully emulate products including Elnett hairspray and packs of Pringles, which are also elevated in velvet slippers and raffia tote bags, alongside KP salted peanuts and Kellogg’s Corn Flakes.

There is also a new line-up of seven limited-edition candles infused with the familiar scents of kitchen staples, including Kikkoman Soy Sauce, Heinz Ketchup and Baked Beans, Imperial Leather and Fanta Orange, as well as the comforting scents of Coco Pops and Frosties.
