Vogue Cover by Horst
The V&A’s current major exhibition is an ode to one of the most recognised and lauded fashion photographers, well, ever. German-born Horst P Horst’s career traversed the worlds of art, fashion, theatre and high society and was one of Vogue’s star photographers.
Alongside haute couture garments, magazines, film footage and ephemera, there is over 250 of Horst’s photographs on show at Horst: Photographer of Style. The exhibition explores Horst’s collaborations and friendships with leading couturiers such as Coco Chanel and Elsa Schiaparelli in Paris; stars including Marlene Dietrich and Noël Coward; and artists and designers such as Salvador Dalí and Jean-Michel Frank.
