Fendi invited its customers to celebrate the charitable spirit of Christmas at its Sloane Street store last week, joining forces with Kids Company to host an event that saw local families given the opportunity to positively affect the seasonal experience for 4,000 children, young people and families who would not have a Christmas Day were it not for Kids Company. A further 10,000 receive gifts and food parcels.
Every child at the event was invited to bring a Christmas gift for a child of their own age who might not otherwise receive one, and every parent was given the opportunity to make a pledge.
Both Camilla Batmanghelidjh, the founder of the charity, and Portia Freeman attended with various children and their mothers from the surrounding schools.
“Fendi are making possible brilliant gifts for vulnerable kids who would otherwise be without them on Christmas Day,” said Batmanghelidjh. “Their help is going to bring so much delight to children who are desperate for it. The happiness they’re generating is priceless.”
