On & Around the Street

THE WALLPAPER* APARTMENT

Wallpaper*, the super sleek design bible, has teamed with Cadogan to create a pop-up apartment in the newly renovated 155 Sloane Street building. The result is, of course, beyond stylish.

This is the magazine come to life in a temporary apartment curated by Wallpaper*’s editors. It showcases some of the best in international design from both established and up-and-coming designers. Key pieces include a stunning coffee table by Fredrikson Stallard for Driade, a spectacular brass chandelier by Lindsay Adelman for Roll & Hill and artworks by American conceptual artist John Baldessari, courtesy of Sprüth Magers Gallery.

The Wallpaper* team has also created a beautiful permanent reception area, including bespoke desk, commissioned by Wallpaper*, from award-winning London-based designer Mathias Hahn.

The pop-up apartment is one of ten available to rent as part of the gorgeous 155 Sloane Street Building, which has just had a total makeover by Cadogan. Just seconds from Sloane Square, the apartments are in the heart of Chelsea and minutes away from incredible shops like Tom Ford and Chloé, and local treasures like Brasserie Colbert and the Saatchi Gallery on Duke of York Square.

“This project has permitted our talented editors and stylists to express their unique vision and style, normally seen in print, in a real-life setting, right in the heart of London,” said Tony Chambers, Wallpaper* editor-in-chief.

“Sloane Street itself is recognised internationally as the ultimate luxury destination with some of the world’s best architecture and design represented throughout the estate,” said Hugh Seaborn, Chief Executive Officer of Cadogan. “Wallpaper* magazine felt the perfect ‘fit’ to collaborate with on our latest residential project and we are delighted to be able to showcase this beautiful apartment later this month.”

The apartment is open to the public on Saturday 11 October and Sunday 12 October, 11am-4pm, by appointment only. To book, please email events@wallpaper.com.
