Nicholas Ghesquière has been working on the concept of a buildable wardrobe since he took up the reins of Louis Vuitton TKTK. His new silhouette for the brand is all lean and lanky, with plenty of nods to the Seventies.
We especially loved the high-waisted trousers and easy denim pieces, and the camel-hair coat with suede placket and patch pockets was just so cool – perfect for layering over A-line skirts or the season’s gentle flares.
The slim-fitting two-button blazer from Ghesquière’s spring offering made a return, teamed with black leather trousers and a knitted spread-collar top that was worn over a caramel turtleneck – a styling trick that’s bound to gain traction when the weather turns cold again.
