If you haven’t yet popped in to Gina’s gorgeous newly refurbished store on Sloane Street, we strongly urge you to do so. It’s stunning. And the shoes are beyond tempting too!
The store was designed by Caulder Moore and combines luxe and industrial finishes in a nod to the work of Italian-born artist Rudolf Stingel, whose work centres around the passing of time. The reference is especially clear in the store’s distressed gold leaf feature wall, which echo Stingel’s gold studio floor paintings.
Grey marble lines other walls, while the floor is a chevron pattern in silvered wood. A stunning grey stool sits on a plush grey silk carpet, proving a textural contrast to the metallic snakeskin screen that is fronted by gilded display boxes – all full of seriously covetable shoes and handbags.
But, of course, the REAL highlight of the store is the shoes and handbags. We especially love the python flats – perfect for rushing about town! And who could resist the ultra-glam, sparkly stilettos that Gina is famous for?
The Gina store is at 189 Sloane St, London, SW1X 9QR.
