Channel Riviera Style At Façonnable’s Pop-up

Façonnable spring/summer 2020

The elegance and suave savoir faire of the French Riviera is coming to Sloane Street this month, as debonaire Côte d’Azur men’s label Façonnable opens a pop-up store, ready to infuse some much-needed holiday vibes to your wardrobes.

Founded in 1950, the brand became a favourite with stylish Hollywood legends including Cary Grant and Tony Curtis, who appreciated the label’s perfect cuts, a legacy refined by Façonnable’s roots as a tailoring shop in Nice. Subtle detailing, luxury materials and an unwavering sense of elegance are core to the brand’s aesthetic.

Façonnable spring/summer 2020

With a palette inspired by the Mediterranean sea and sky, in exquisite fabrics from Italy and beyond, the spring/summer 2020 collection draws on references from nature, coastal landscapes and the quintessential elegance of the Riviera.

Nautical activities enjoyed in the waters of the Côte d’Azur have inspired sporty elements, including elegant multi-pocket, windproof FaçoRain® outerwear, and shirting in an array of jaunty stripes. Knitwear has a charming vintage feel, while nautical symbols appear throughout in motif including the flag, the French Riviera ribbon and stripes as placed motifs, prints or emblems.

Linen suits are light, with understated three-dimensional textures, while organic cotton separates, timeless seersucker and swimwear in delicious sorbet shades round out the blissful summer holiday mood.

Façonnable is open from Saturday, August 8. Drop in for a sartorial dose of languid Cap d’Antibes elegance then, if you really want to feel transported to the South of France, pop by Sloane Square for the ‘Pastis and Pétanque’. It’s almost as good as the real thing.
