Hearst’s collection, inspired by World War II Italian journalist, author, and political interviewer Oriana Fallaci, features sleek silhouettes with a modern take on trench coats, pleats and an evening dress teamed with a more utilitarian baseball jacket with adjoining scarf. Hearst was praised by the judges for her technical innovation and quality craftsmanship, using ultrafine wool for luxurious knitwear and creating reworking traditional checks into covetable wardrobe pieces that toe the line between masculine and feminine.
