WHAT TO WEAR: THE PARTY SEASON

Short days + long nights = the party season is upon us.

Whether you’re thrilled at the opportunity to get your glad rags on, or you’re dreading the late nights, finding the right look (or looks!) is a major fun factor.

If the September catwalks had anything to tell us it was that drama is making a comeback, so cue sequinned dresses and metallic finishes, and get ready to be your most flamboyant self.

However, party season need not mean sparkles as far at the eye can see. Take a more low-key approach in Emilia Wickstead’s demure jumpsuit, jazzed-up with chunky gold accessories.

Meanwhile, vampy leather trousers by Saint Laurent pack just as much punch as the sauciest of party frocks, just add spiky heels and a sheer blouse for a sophisticated take on sex appeal.

Nothing says cocktail party season quite like a little black dress (we love Peter Dundas’ version with beaded fringing), and don’t forget all the finishing touches…
